Rock-kristal rings

I have examined the attributes of the rhinestone and discovered that some of them encapsulates rutile needles made of titanium dioxide. I had the idea of using the naturally formed titanium encapsulated in the rhinestone to create a fully rhinestone ring representing a natural metal embedding. it was very important throughout the work to keep as much of the original surface of the stone as possible to show more of the titanium needles achieving the original idea of embed stone in metal with a little twist as the metal is embedded naturally in the stone itself.

The other ring is the continuum of the previous work. There are turmaline needles in the rhinestone. I wanted to achieve a well presented and characteristic shape which looks well on the hand.
